Dominique Sanda was born in Paris. Her career began at a very young age under the direction of Robert Bresson and over the years she established herself as one of the most important French actresses of her generation, thanks to numerous collaborations that saw her as a protagonist on sets throughout Europe. She has been the muse of many great directors, including Robert Bresson, Vittorio De Sica, Bernardo Bertolucci, Luchino Visconti, Mauro Bolognini, John Huston, Jacques Demy, Liliana Cavani, Louis Malle, Lina Wertmüller, Dino Risi, John Frankenheimer, Michel Deville, Marguerite Duras and René Allio. During her long career, she has received various awards including Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 1976 for her performance in Mauro Bolognini's film L'eredità Ferramonti (known in English as The Inheritance). In France, she has been awarded with the prestigious Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres, Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur and Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite.

Alba Rohrwacher was born in Florence and graduated from Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 2004. Since her debut in Carlo Mazzacurati's L'amore ritrovato, she has worked with some of the most important Italian directors, from Marco Bellocchio (Sorelle mai, Bella addormentata) to Daniele Luchetti (Mio fratello è figlio unico, Lacci), from Pupi Avati (Il papà di Giovanna, David di Donatello for Best Actress) to Giorgio Diritti (L'uomo che verrà), from Silvio Soldini (Giorni e nuvole, David for Best Supporting Actress) to Luca Guadagnino (Io sono l'amore). And again, Saverio Costanzo (La solitudine dei numeri primi and Hungry Hearts, Coppa Volpi at Venice Film Festival), Alice Rohrwacher (Le meraviglie, Lazzaro felice), Laura Bispuri (Sworn Virgin, Daughter of Mine), Paolo Genovese (Perfetti sconosciuti), Emma Dante (A Street in Palermo), Gianni Zanasi (Troppa grazia), Ginevra Elkann (Magari).

She has also made numerous "incursions" into the international cinema, working with directors such as Doris Dorrie (Gluck), Nicolas Saada (Taj Mahal), Arnaud Desplechin (The Ghosts of Ismael), Jonathan Nossiter (Last Words).

For the television she took part in the TV series Il miracolo directed by Niccolò Ammaniti, and she lent her voice as narrator for L'Amica geniale directed by Saverio Costanzo.

She made her debut on the big screen with La Balia by Marco Bellocchio (1999). Her debut in cinema is followed by, among others, La meglio gioventù by Marco Tullio Giordana (2003); Buongiorno, Notte by Marco Bellocchio (2003), Il vestito da sposa by Fiorella Infascelli (2003); L'amore ritrovato by Carlo Mazzacurati (2004); L'uomo che verrà by Giorgio Diritti (2009); Il primo uomo by Gianni Amelio (2011); Voyez comme ils dansent by Claude Miller (2011); Bella addormentata by Marco Bellocchio (2012); Red Snake by Caroline Fourest (2019) and Lasciami andare by Stefano Mordini (2020). During her career she has received several nominations and awards: one David di Donatello Award in 2013 as Best Supporting Actress for Bella addormentata, one Silver Ribbon Award in 2004 as Best Leading Actress for La meglio gioventù, two Globo d’oro, one as Best Revelation Actress for La balia (1999) and one as Best Actress for Buongiorno, Notte (2004).

He is a theatre, cinema and television actor, who has worked with directors such as Claudio Ascoli, Vittorio Lucariello, Armando Pugliese, Giuseppe Rocca, Walter Manfrè, Stefano Incerti, Francesco Rosi, Carla Apuzzo, Luca De Fusco, Maurizio Fiume, Antonietta De Lillo, Vincenzo Marra and Francesca Comencini. He has directed several theatrical projects and won awards, including the prestigious Giuseppe Bartolucci Prize 2001 for the activity of Teatro Elicantropo, which he founded in 1996; the UBU Prize 2002 for Stanza 101; the 2008 ETI Olimpici del Teatro Award for Nzularchia; the 2009 Hystrio Award for his career; the 2015 ANCT Critics' Award for Scannasurice by Enzo Moscato for the best show of 2015 and, still thanks to Scannasurice, he also won the 2017 Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano Award for the best monologue.

Fabrizio Ferracane is a film, theatre and television actor. In 2013 he starred in Anime nere (Black souls) by Francesco Munzi, for which he received three nominations as "Best Leading Actor" at the David di Donatello Awards, Silver Ribbons Awards and the Globo d’oro Awards. In 2017 he was seen at the Cannes Film Festival in After the War by Annarita Zambrano and at the Venice Film Festival in L'ordine delle cose by Andrea Segre. In 2019, he appeared in Il traditore (The Traitor) by Marco Bellocchio, which screened in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival, and for which he won the Silver Ribbon Award as "Best Supporting Actor" and was nominated at David di Donatello Awards in the same category. In 2021 he starred in Claudio Cupellini's La terra dei figli, in Alessandro Pondi's School of Mafia and in Andrea De Sica's Non mi uccidere. Among his many upcoming projects is Leonora Addio, directed by Paolo Taviani.

Born in 1988, he graduated at Scuola del Teatro Stabile di Torino in 2012 and moves between acting and directing for the, where his work includes: Spettri (Ghosts) by Ibsen (Venice biennial 2018), Zoo di Vetro (The Glass Menagerie) by Williams, La Casa di Bernarda Alba (The House of Bernarda Alba) by García Lorca, Città Morta by D'Annunzio (Venice biennial 2020) and Signorina Giulia (Miss Julie) by Strindberg (Spoleto Festival 2021). In 2019 he starred in the films Lessons of love by Chiara Campara and Il demolitore di camper by Robert Ralston. He also took part in the film L'incredibile storia dell'isola delle rose (Rose Island) directed by Sydney Sibilia (2020) and in the TV film Carosello Carosone directed by Lucio Pellegrini (2021).

Tihana Lazovic was born in Zadar in 1990. In 2013 she played her first feature film role in the film Svecenikova djeca (The Priest's Children) and later she played the leading role in Zvizdan (The High Sun) by Dalibor Matanic, which won the Jury Prize for Best Film in the "Un Certain Regard" category at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Tihana was selected as one of 10 most perspective European actors, as part of the 2016 European Shooting Stars project, which represents the most promising young European actors every year at Berlinale. In 2018 she played the lead in two features: the Italian-Belgian film Sembra mio figlio directed by Costanza Quatriglio and Aleksi by Barbara Vekaric. In 2020, she played the lead in Dalibor Matanic’s film Zora / The Dawn. 

She took part in theatre performances in Brianza since the age of 12 years and later she attended the school of the Piccolo Teatro. In 1975, after an audition, she was chosen by Giorgio Strehler at the age of 17 for the role of Lucietta in Campiello by Carlo Goldoni, which marked her debut. In her long career in film, theatre and television, she has worked with directors such as Francesco Rosi, Sergio Sollima, Tonino Cervi, Gianni Amelio, Alberto Sironi and Peter Stein. In 1987 she received the Maschera D'Argento Award as Best Theatre Actress of the year and in 2000 she won the Flaiano Award for the interpretation thanks to her role in L'annaspo, directed by Cristina Pezzoli.
