synopsis
After a devastating loss, Sofia, a 40-year-old architect must navigate through her complex emotions while trying to stay true to herself. As she struggles with the her fertility and identity as a woman, both her personal and professional life begin to deteriorate forcing her to look inward to find the light that will lead her forward.

biography
Victoria Franco is a filmmaker and screenwriter born in Mexico City. She has directed two short films: Reconciliados (2014) and Borde (2017). Victoria was a creative producer on several of her brother Michel Franco's films including Sundown and New Order. Twelve Moons is her first feature film as director, writer and producer.

The film explores the symptoms of a woman who is going down the wrong path without fully understanding why. I want to portray someone who doesn't fit anywhere and can't handle social conventions. It's an analysis of the lack of empathy toward those who fail to conform to the standard model of success in society.

Ana de la Reguera has been a constant presence in the top five Mexican films at the box office post-pandemic, with Una Pequeña Confusión (December 2024), co-starring Cristo Fernández and Juanpa Zurita, and the Netflix blockbuster ¡Que Viva México! (2023). She created, stars in, writes, and showruns the original comedy series Ana for Prime Video, which is based on her life and ran for three seasons. Ana also starred in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and The Forever Purge, the final installment of the franchise for Universal. She joined the Netflix LATAM hit show Ojitos de Huevo for season 2 and appeared opposite Carla Gugino in the limited series Leopard Skin for Peacock. Coming up, Ana will be seen in Doce Lunas, produced by Michel Franco, and Elio for Pixar. On television, she will guest star in Papá Soltero for VIX and appear in the second season of Mo for Netflix, all set to release in 2025. She also recently finished co-directing and starring in a feature film, details of which will be announced soon. Previously, Ana was a lead on the series Goliath for Prime Video, opposite Billy Bob Thornton. Her other television credits include Twin Peaks, Narcos, Power, Eastbound and Down, The Blacklist, and Capadocia. On the big screen, she starred in Nacho Libre for Paramount Pictures alongside Jack Black, Cop Out for Warner Bros. with Bruce Willis, Cowboys & Aliens, and Everything, Everything for MGM Studios.

Mexican actor who studied Dramatic Literature and Theater at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has worked in over 30 films with renowned Mexican directors, earning awards such as the Ariel (The main award given by the Mexican Film Academy) for Temporada de Patos, directed by Fernando Eimbcke. He has been nominated multiple times for this award for his performances in films like Párpados Azules, 5 Días sin Nora, and Asfixia. His films have been screened at some of the main film festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, and Toronto. In theater, he has participated in over 130 plays throughout his career and was a founding member of the Permanent Cast of Mexico's National Theater Company (2008-2017). He has performed on prestigious stages such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and The Globe Theatre in London. He has worked with acclaimed directors and taken part in productions of Shakespeare, Brecht, Chekhov, Lope de Vega, and Koltès, among others.
